Mountain Kilimanjaro a day trip.
Early in the Morning transfer from your hotel after breakfast to Marangu gate. After payment of park fees, start to trek through the rainforest to Mandara hut (3-4 hours) which is the first hut on the Marangu route. You will visit the small nearby waterfalls, experience the beauty of nature before return to the gate for transfer to your hotel in Moshi.
Arusha National Park
Drive to Arusha National Park early in the morning after breakfast. An armed ranger will escort you to different places in the park after registration and payment of park fees. The tour will include a visit to the Momela and Ngurdoto Lakes, where you will see lots of water birds. In the afternoon after your picnic lunch you will have a chance to see a natural garden with waterfalls.
THE NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
DAY 1: ARUSHA-NAINOKANOKA MAASAI VILLAGE
Depart after an early breakfast for game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch boxes. After lunch you will make your way out of the crater towards the Nainokanoka Village. There is a small campsite near by, while the car is being unloaded you will head up to Olmoti Crater with an armed ranger (against wildlife) Olmoti crater has several small Maasai communities tucked away on the crater floor, watch the comings and goings of these friendly people. There is also the Munge waterfall that pours through a groove in the side of the crater and flows to form the Munge River inside the Ngorongoro Crater. You will return to the Nainokanoka Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: NAINOKANOKA- BULATI MAASAI VILLAGE
After breakfast you will trek across the Embulbul depression to the base of the Empakai Crater, the walking cuts through the grass plains, which hold various small groups of Gazelle and Zebra. You will trek up to Bulati village for dinner and overnight. The trek will take you about 5 hours.
DAY 3: BULATI MAASAI VILLAGE-EMPAKAAI CRATER RIM
Early breakfast, trek to the rim of the Empakai Crater and descend through lush vegetation to the crater floor for a tour of the lake-shores which are teaming with thousands of pink flamingos. Have picnic lunch break in the crater. Ascend to rim for dinner and overnight at Nyika-Empakai bush camp. This is a long day hike (about 8 hours) on a moderate level.
DAY 4: EMPAKAAI CRATER RIM-KAMAKIA CAMP SITE (LAKE NATRON)
After Breakfast you will trek down to the Naiyobi Maasai village where you will stop for a picnic lunch and a short visit to a nearby local Primary School. Proceed along the Great Rift Valley rim and down to the base of Mt. Ol'doinyo Lengai. The transfer vehicle will pick you from here and drive you to Kamakia campsite for dinner; you will retire early to have enough rest. You will drive to the base of Mt. Ol'doinyo Lengai at midnight and start the climb up an ever-increasing rough track to the peak arriving in time for a rewarding sunrise. The mountain is still an active volcano and the climb will take about 5 hours up and 3 down.
DAY 5: CLIMB Mountain OL'DOINYO LENGAI (2086m)
You will be at the base at about 11:00 am where your transfer vehicle will pick you up and return to campsite for a welcome brunch and after a good rest you will visit Lake Natron before you proceed to Arusha for overnight.
