ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Arusha National Park is famous for its more than 350 species of birdlife, both migrant and resident to the alkaline soda Lakes of Momela and Ngurdoto crater. With an area of 137 sq. km, the Park is one of the smaller and most beautiful National Parks in Tanzania. Situated only 37 km from Arusha town, the park is very popular for day trips due to its proximity.
Among other attractions Arusha National Park is a unique park for both game drive and walking safari accompanied by full armed ranges. Animals like antelopes, zebras, giraffes and African buffalo can be seen in a close range.
When the park is not shy Mount Meru is clearly visible with the height of 4575m above sea level. Also if the sky is clear Mountain Kilimanjaro is clearly seen from the East of the park which ranks the highest Mountain in Africa standing at 5896m and the second in the World.
